Father's Day

After we lost the transmission in our Chevrolet truck over the Memorial day weekend we decided to go ahead and replace it and keep driving it.  While it was in the shop Layne's brother, Daren, called and said he found a truck that we might be interested in.  The Chev is just an extended cab and has always had some issues in pulling the loads we put it under.  So when we came across this 2000 Ford 4WD four door diesel power stroke with only 57,000 miles on it, we couldn't pass it up.  It looks like new.  The interior doesn't  show any wear at all.  The previous owner was an older couple who only used it to pull their fifth wheel to and from Arizona.   So we decided to go for it, and picked it up a few days before Father's day...Wow, what a gift!  Now with me having the near new van and this truck they better last us for the next decade!

Back in April we were in Sportsman's and Layne needed to get a target for his bow practice.  As we were walking out he said, "Happy Father's Day?"  Sure, even though it is two months away...But of course I can never let the day go by without giving him something to open.  So I got him a matching folding rocker for the porch and around the camp fire.  Now he won't be stealing mine!

The kids got Layne a camo seat cover for his new truck.  We are lucky to have such a great man in our lives he is a great dad and an even better husband!
