Tanner's Senior Project

In order to graduate seniors are now required to do a senior project that includes a research paper, and oral presentation.  Our high school has made it a dual purpose by requiring that it be about a potential career so the students will research their possible job opportunities.

Tanner chose to do his on welding.  Luckily our neighbor owns his own shop just down the street.  The students are required to do a job shadow for four hours.  They have to submit a brochure that lists the required schooling and/or training for the career.  They also have to research the cost of schooling and potential scholarships available.

Tanner is lucky to have good friends that are more computer savy than he is that helped him put his brochure together.  As for the oral presentation, that is where is good looks and natural instincts of B.S. kick in.  And of course a little bribery.   He gave the judges, Mr. Smith a liter of Pepsi, and Mrs. Warne, a chocolate orange.

The good news is that he passed and we are all breathing a sigh of relief.  Now if he can just pass consumer math.  Next semester they are studying statistics....Yikes!
