Tanner's Senior Year
It is hard to believe that we have all made it this far...Tanner's senior year. This picture was taken when Tanner was determined to grow his curly hair out into a full "fro" And he is also growing his sideburns, which you can see just a little bit. I have learned to just let him figure out on his own that he really doesn't want to grow his hair out. Less than a month since this was taken he came in and asked for the clippers and had Layne buzz it all off. Of course he says that the only reason is that his hair is so thick that when he wears his hat, which is all the time, it matts down and starts to hurt. Layne wishes he had the same problem.
Tanner finally feels like a man (oooohhh, ooohhh insert monkey sound here) now that he is driving a truck. He bought this Toyota 4 wheel drive standard transmission pickup from his cousin, Clayton, who just went on a mission. He paid $400 for it and doubled the value when he put on new tires. He loves working on it and has already replaced the front drive line. He is so happy to have it so he can take it hunting and biking.
Tanner was able to work for Crapo Farms driving truck for spud harvest. He worked for three weeks and put in 168 hours. He really enjoyed driving and we got lots of compliments on what a good driver he was from some of the people that worked for him. We are are thrilled that he now has some money in the bank. Its a good thing because now his truck needs a new started and a new clutch. Ugghhh!!
Here are the Homecoming Dance pictures. As you can see, Tanner doesn't worry about blending in with the crowd ;)
