But we were finally able to go fishing on August 13th. Layne, Zak Tanner and I drove up to Kilgore to a spot that they always went to as kids. Karlee ended up going to the county fair with Isabell. It was fun to hear them reminisce about the memories of how much fun they had riding their pedal bikes up and down the hills over and over. And how much they loved fishing in the creek.

Gone Fishin'
When Zak got his call on April 7th and it said that he would report to the MTC on August 24th, we all thought that was FOREVER! Boy were we wrong. Where did the summer go? We had so many plans and things we wanted to do before he left. I was hoping to go on a all day horse back trip, we were going to go camping, dirt biking. Then when Zak dislocated his shoulder a lot of that just wasn't possible. And he ended up wanted to do some things with his friends instead. I always tease him that he likes to keep his options open, in case he gets a better offer.

The boys all got their gear and headed off in different directions, and I stayed and sat in my chair and read my book. What a perfect day!
Crash had fun going fishing with the boys, too much fun. He loved jumping right in after the fishing line. So it wasn't too long before he got chained up to the truck and stuck back in camp with me.
Tanner didn't have much luck in this creek. Everything he caught was too small.
Layne got the biggest catch of the day.
Zak the goof, showing off his first catch.
My three boys showing off their catches. This reminded them off a picture that was probably taken over ten years ago. My how they have grown!
