Tanner's 15th Birthday

On April 24th Tanner turned 15. He got his main present a couple of weeks ago. He has been going crazy to get a new pipe for his motorcycle. I was hoping to keep it a surprise until his birthday. But he also needed new handle bars because he crashed and he couldn't ride his bike with the old ones. So he just "had to have it now." We got free shipping if we ordered them together, so we got them and he had them installed the next day. But it made for a kind of anti-climactic birthday.

In fact he worked with our neighbor, Ty Klingler, all day long installing a new wire fence. He was exhausted by the time they were done. Tanner is a very hard worker and I am proud that he stuck with it to the end. We could have left for dinner earlier but he wanted to stay and help until it was finished. We still managed to make it to town for our traditional birthday dinner at Gringos and they sang to him while he wore the sombrero. He even got to drive to town since he got his permit this week.

Before we left he did get to open the standard, boring birthday gifts of shirts and a pair of shorts. But when he pulled out the shorts they were ringing, inside the pocket was a new cell phone.

We love you Tanner!
