North Fremont Dual

Last night our team had a dual with Butte and North Fremont. Zak's friend, Russ, had to wrestle a girl which just about sent him to the loony bin. He pinned her in about 20 seconds. He just kept saying, "Why would a girl want to wrestle?" I asked her if she was at all strong. He said, "No, she was just soft and mushy. I didn't want to have to touch her any longer than necessary. So I just pinned her. The guy she wrestled from North must have liked it a little more because he took a full round to pin her. Funny how boys don't want to wrestle a girl on the mat but change their minds when it is on the couch.

Our assistant coach, Jed Clark and his brother Sam, who is assistant coach for North Fremont did an exhibition match for a fund raiser. They are both double state champions and put on quite a show. Both of their teams got quite a kick out of watching them, and a lot of money was raised for both team.s

Our team was behind North Fremont most of the night and then towards the end started catching up. The guy Zak wrestled started slapping his head, which ticked him off and then he "Hulked Out" and threw the guy to the ground. Zak pinned his guy in about 20 seconds and put us up by one point. It should have ended the dual, but the 103 weight class still had to wrestle. Our guy is a freshman and theirs is ranked number 1. So despite his best efforts we lost. But it was a great match.
