Tanner is 14!

On April 24th Tanner turned 14. He went on his last camp out with the deacons and Layne went with them. Tanner has been wanting his dad to go on a camp out forever. Finally Layne's schedule worked so that he could go, and how do you turn a boy down for his birthday. Saturday we went to Gringo's for dinner to celebrate. Just as we were leaving to go a couple stopped and bought Tanner's Honda CR200 motorcycle that he had up for sale.

The boys have been going crazy to upgrade their bikes. And I mean all the boys. So we decided the best way to be fair would be for Zak to get Layne's 500, Tanner to get Zak's 220 and then that meant Layne just had to get a new Suzuki. Tanner immediately tore into his new bike and put more time into it in two weeks than Zak ever did in two years. He ordered a new fender and side panels and is determined that he will sell it and get himself into a 500 so he can keep up out on the dunes.

We told the boys this upgrade in bikes would be the biggest part of their birthday gifts this year. That seemed to go over well since Zak is so broke it is the only way he was ever going to get into a bigger bike. But now that Layne has his new bike they all want bigger and better. This is where Mom just has to bite her tongue until it bleeds.

Sunday Tanner was ordained a Teacher by Layne. As usual Aunt Vonell wrote a transcript of the blessing. We appreciate that gift from her so much. The Terry family all gathered for a cookout at our house afterwards and had a nice visit. Grandpa & Grandma Park came as well as Theresa and Rich Gardner. We really appreciate the love and support of our family.
