This year my dad was invited to the Shadow Mountain Elementary Veteran Day Celebration. Half of my sister, LarRene's grandkids attend this school. And her oldest grandson, Easton, is the student body president. Easton was the MC fort he program and did a great job. At the end they had a slide show honoring all the vets who were related to the kids in the school. The kids also sang some great songs honoring our country and those that fought for our freedom.
I am blessed that my Dad served our country and that he returned home safely to be the patriarch of a great family.
