Island Park Weekend

The last weekend before school started we spent the weekend at Rich and Theresa's cabin with them and Tera and Brendan.  Zak and Shay came too and we floated the river on Saturday.  We took the three hour float trip this time and since we were all in boats it went much better.

Maci loved being in the boat.  She is such a cutie right now.  She is in the "why" phase.  Every question you answer for her she responds with "Why?"  She is a sponge, taking it all in.

Rich is such a gentleman.  He gave Theresa his good sunglasses and he wore the 1/2 glasses.

Maci sure loves Shay.  The next day Shay brought her sister, Sky, up and she and Maci had a lot of fun together.

The next day we drove up to Sawtell to see the view, which was awesome! This is looking down over Henry's Lake.

On the way down Layne pulled off the side of the road because he saw some huckleberry bushes.  I am 45 years old and lived in Idaho most of my life and I have never picked huckleberries.

Karlee got in on the fun too, but she wasn't that impressed.

And I can see now why they charge $50 per gallon for them.  In the amount of time we were picking we got a total of two cups... But they were delicious and we enjoyed them on our ice cream when we got home.

We love spending time with the Gardners and wish would took the time to go up there more often.  It is always so peacefull and relaxing. We really do live in a beautiful area and are blessed to have it so close by.
