More Wedding Day Joy!

Here are more pictures of the actual wedding day.  We really couldn't have asked for a better day.  We are so proud of Zak and Shay and the lives they live, and that they found each other.

The Jensen/Riley Clan

The Wilding/Terry Clan (The Romrells were in attendance at the sealing but dutifully left directly afterward to go help get the luncheon ready.  THANK YOU!)

The Grandparents.
There are actually two sets of living grandparents not pictured.  The Romrells and the Rileys.
This couple is lucky to have three sets of great-grandparents still living.

The Rileys
Ryker, Skyler,  Natalee, Jason, Shaylee, Zak, Sage, Ridge,

Shay was trying to give Ridge a kiss, but he wasn't having any of it.

Ryker was much more willing to comply to the request.

We got lots of compliments on the reception decorations.  I wish I could have taken credit.  They did a great job.

Daddy's little boys  aren't so little anymore.

The "dreaded" line.  Taking my shoes off wasn't I good idea.  I ended up getting a charley horse in my toes.  Ugghhh!!

There must have been many guardian angels putting in overtime on that night.  Ridge was going home to get decorations for the newlyweds get away car when he pulled out in front of this Tahoe.  He had his twin cousins in the truck with him.  The Tahoe hit them broadside in the driver side and threw them into a telephone pole on the passenger side.  They crawled out with only a few scratches.  What a blessing!

A good friend of the Riley's comforting Ridge as it all begins to sink in.

Jason could have been mad but wasn't after seeing the what a miracle it was that they weren't hurt.

The wedding photographer was so busy taking pictures of the wreck that the newlyweds got away without him noticing.  He did catch them driving off into the sunset!

  1. That was a beautiful reception! So darling! Did you do that or hire someone? The backdrops behind the food tables were my favorite--so so cute!!!

Amazing how young they look(are)! It is hard to believe that we were ever that young!

So glad Layne found you Valeen! You are a blessing!

    1. Shay's family hired a wedding planner for the decorations. It was really a fun theme. Yes, they are young, and I am the lucky one that Layne found me ;)
