Zak's birthday this year was a little crazy. Layne was going to be on high adventure with the young men on the actual day of his birthday. But he was able to get some tickets to the Chuckers's game a few days before that. So we went to the game, but by the third inning it started raining. Its funny that everyone else sitting around us had umbrellas. They must have checked the weather forecast before they came to the game. Crazy! When they called a rain delay in the third inning we decided to call it a day and headed to Garcia's for his birthday dinner.
On the morning of his actual birthday I got a gold star for being a good mom and I got up at 5:15 a.m. to make him breakfast. He got a new batch of garments since the ones he has been wearing while working construction are now a lovely shade of gray. And a teeth whitening kit so he can have a glistening smile on his wedding day. He also got a new monster sleeping bag that is good for -35 degree weather and is extra long and wide for some comfy camping.
