Well, it looks like fall has fell. Layne got busy several weeks ago and cleaned out the garden. This is the last of our harvest. He got the garden all tilled and ready for planting next year...
I came home from work one night and found Layne down in the crawl space. He had gone down to turn on the furnace because the weather has definitely turned. While he was down there he brought up all the Halloween decorations. Then he started looking around and realized that we had a lot of food storage down there that needed to be used. But it is out of sight and out of mind. So he just started bringing up box after box. The shelves in the garage have started to look pretty empty and disorganized. So Layne took it on like a madman.
Here is the fruit, or should I say, vegetables of our labors.
And here is my grocery stocking husband's finished project. All the cans are lined up with the labels facing forward. It is nice to have the shelves full...for now.
Layne has talked about taking the boat fishing ever since we got married, but the summer days just seem to run out before he gets it done. But he finally took it up to Henry's Lake last weekend. He took Tanner, Karlee, Layne's brother, Daren, and his son Mackay. It was a beautiful day to be out on the lake, but he totally forgot to take any pictures. Mackay was the only one who had any luck, so we took this picture when they got back. But you know what they say, a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work. Crash has got his eye on that fish...
And speaking of end of summer, wow what a surprise on October 6th we got slammed with this snow storm. Idaho Falls got hit worse than any of the surrounding areas, even Jackson Hole. The snow didn't stick in Parker, but it lasted at my Dad's house for two days. Luckily by the weekend it was 60 degrees and the sun was shining. That's Idaho for you.
