Karlee's finished out her third grade year by participating in the play, "Stone Soup." Karlee was one of the weary travelers who came to Old Town. All the people of Old Town were always grumpy because no one had very much to eat. When the weary travelers come to town asking for food they are told to go away. Then the travelers tell the townspeople that they will teach them how to make their favorite, Stone Soup. They start by stirring in water with a couple of special stones. Then throughout the song they convince the townspeople that it will taste even better if it just had some vegetables, broth and eventually meat. When they are done they have a delicious soup and the townspeople learn that if they work together they can have something great and be happy instead of grumpy.
Karlee did a great job and got to sing a duet with her friend Hallie Parker. The best part was that they got to wear a microphone headset. So that we very cool!
