Homecoming Week

Last week was Homecoming for South Fremont. Everynight there was something fun going on. One night the Senior boys played volleyball against the Junior boys in "Powerder Buff". Amazingly the seniors lost. I didn't think that was possible. I thought those things were always rigged. The night before the big game they had a huge bonfire and the school provided 165 pizzas. They actually had 12 left over after at the end of the night. Friday night was the big game against Bear Lake. It was the perfect team to play for Homecoming because both the JV and Varsity skunked them, 52-8 and 59-8 respectively. It is always good for their egos to have a game like that. The game the week before against West Jeff was a similar tromping of 40-8.

Saturday Zak took Ashley Siddoway to the Homecoming Dance. She is on the volleyball team and their coach had the bright idea to have a tournament that day. So that pretty much took away the "day date." But that night they played miniature golf and went to Applebee's for dinner. They wore football jerseys to the dance. And had a great time. Afterwards they came to our house and watched "Fast and the Furious 3" Layne and I were both so tired we didn't even know they were there. Layne woke up at 5:30 thinking Zak wasn't home because he hadn't checked in like he usually does. But he assumed we had heard them. We must be getting way too old.
