The Best Christmas Ever!

Once again we were spoiled and received a bounty of gifts for Christmas this year.

The tree was over flowing, as were the stockings.

Tanner and Zak were both pleased with the tools they got.  Zak also got a scope and hunting knife.

Tanner will put his new air socket tools to good use for years to come.

Karlee and Tanner got new electronic note pads.  So now Tanner won't have to steal Karlee's ipod touch to play games on before he goes to sleep each night.

Layne and I both got new glider rocker chairs.  We have worn out several of them.  Now at least we have some that match our other furniture a little better.

Karlee got lots of clothes.  When she pulled one shirt out she said, "Oh, cute a skirt!" when it was really a shirt.  So everyone teased her about that all day.  Everything she opened they would say, "Oh cute, a skirt!"

The best gift of the day came when Layne opened this picture of our future grandchild, due at the end of June.  We are so excited to be grandparents and spoil them like crazy and then send them home!

Rather than get individual gifts for everyone, Tanner went all out and bought a pool table for the whole family.  It was extremely heavy and had lots of little parts.  Amazingly Zak and Tanner worked together pretty well on it for a few hours.   But then they needed to go visit Brandi.

So as usual Layne finished it up.  It turned out quite nicely.

I think this is the only time Tanner has actually played on it.  But he did spend a little time showing Karlee the ropes.  And she has gotten the most use out of it.

We have had to move it around a little to figure out the best angle.  You sometimes have to get creative and unscrew the cue in order to make a shot because the wall is in the way.  Layne showed the kids that he has some pool hall skills as well.  Even though I grew up with a pool table I never became a pool shark.  My hand eye coordination is severely lacking.  So I am a really good cheerleader.
