A Doggon Great Thanksgiving

We had another great Thanksgiving. This year we spent it with the Wildings. It was just our family, Frank and Jeannette and Tera and her fiancee, Brendan. It was kind of nice to have everyone sit around one table and pass the food around the old fashioned way rather than buffet style. After dinner we played games and just enjoyed each other's company.

When we came home we discovered that the dogs had enjoyed the day as well. The door that goes out to our deck has always been a problem. It doesn't shut tight on the first try. You have to shut it several times to make it catch. Well, evidently it wasn't shut tight because the dogs had been in the house all day and making themselves right at home.

If you look closely you can see Crash peeking in the window wanting to get back in. They got a stuffed doll out of Karlee's room and tore it to pieces. Crash got comfortable on the black leather couch and left his hair all over it. Tanner had a bronzed pig skull in his room that is now missing with just a few teeth left behind.

The garbage from the master bath was spread throughout our closet and bedroom.

Karlee's room seems to have been hit the worst. Although I am not sure how much of this was already on the floor before the dogs got to it. I am just glad that I didn't leave the turkey out on the counter. And they didn't chew on any of the furniture. If they had it would have been their last day at our residence. As it was they just got to enjoy the luxury suite for the day. And we can't seem to see that they left any other "messes."

Now we can't get them to get in their cold dog house after they have been in the warm house all day long. They are alternating from whining and barking outside the back door to the front door, hoping to be let back in. But that is not going to happen. One more reason not to have dogs!
