Crash sat up in the chair just like one of the kids on the ride home
It seems like the Terry house has become the second chance home for unwanted dogs. Every dog we have ever had except Jill, has been a hand-me-down. This past weekend Layne's nephew, Judd, called and asked if we would be interested in having an American Bulldog. Layne has really wanted a bulldog, but was more interested in a French Bulldog. But knowing I would never be willing to actually pay what these dogs cost he jumped at the opportunity for a free dog. This dog was originally sold for $2100.00 but the couple that owned it divorced and couldn't keep it anymore. So they sold it to Judd's cousin for $500. He didn't have enough time to give it the attention it needed. So we got it for free!
His name is Crash because when he was a puppy he crashed into everything. He is huge! He weighs at least 100 pounds and is only 14 months old. He could get up to 150 pounds. At first I was kind of intimidated by him. But his is just a big, slobbering marshmallow. Of course he is a marshmallow that could knock you on your back when he is trying to love you. But those are just his love taps.
It has been good for our black lab, Bo, to have a friend. They wrestle and run all over the yard together. And he has finally quit scratching the door wanting to get in at night since he has a companion to share the deck with now. The kids all love him and even the neighbor kids seem to get along with him. Grandma Terry is scared to death of him, and won't be walking over to visit through the back yard anymore.
Wow, he looks like a fun dog for your boys. I bet you will enjoy him.
