On February 7th Layne baptised and confirmed Karlee. It was a beautiful day. Then sun was shining and dancing off the snow covered fields as we drove to the stake center. We were the first to arrive and Karlee quickly changed. Then Layne realized that he forgot a change of underwear. Luckily since we got there so early I had plenty of time to go home and get it for him. There were nearly ten kids baptised that day so the chapel was full. Our ward alone had three kids baptised, Karlee, her good friend Brilee Abegglan and Dallin Whitehead. So needless to say, when we went in for the baptism and confirmation the room was full. It was so nice to have the love and support of our family there. With the Terry's, Wilding's and Romrell's it really was a full house.
Karlee looked beautiful. Aunt Leisa put her hair in french braids, and she wore a beautiful white dress that Paige gave her.
Afterwards we went to the Parker school for lunch. I about had a coronary when I found out the roasters that had the taco soup in them didn't have any power. Luckily they heated up fairly quickly and everyone was a good sport about it. Of course Frank and Kade had to give me a bad time about everything being good except the "soup being cold." Everyone pitched in by bringing a dessert and helping clean up. So overall it was a really great day.
It was a wonderful day for us too! Thank you Val for all of your hard work to make it special for Karlee. We really enjoyed it and the soup was the best taco soup I have ever had! Lot's better than mine.
